How to Create a Tiny Windows 11 25H2 ISO
The following tutorial will show you where to get the Tiny Windows 11 25H2 builder and create a custom ISO file. Let’s start trying.
Kindly Reminder:
Tiny11 is a customized version of Windows 11 that removes some built-in features and components. While it can improve performance on low-end PCs, certain apps, Windows updates, security features, or system functions may not work properly after installation. For best results, always test Tiny11 in a virtual machine first and avoid using it on mission-critical systems without a full backup.
Step 1: Download and Extract the Tiny11 Builder Script
We will use the open-source Tiny11 Builder script to customize the ISO file. Follow these steps to set up your files:
- Go to the official Tiny11 Builder repository on GitHub.
- Download the latest stable release.
- Right-click the downloaded ZIP file in File Explorer, click the three-dot menu, and select Extract All.
Inside the extracted folder, you will see two main scripts: tiny11maker.cmd and tiny11core_maker.cmd. Here is the difference between them:
- Tiny11 Maker: Removes common bloatware like Clipchamp, News, Weather, and Xbox apps, but keeps Windows Defender and Windows Update.
- Tiny11 Core Maker: Removes almost everything, including Windows Defender and Windows Update. This version is only recommended for testing in virtual machines.
Step 2: Mount the Windows 11 25H2 ISO
Next, you need to mount your downloaded Windows 11 25H2 ISO file so the script can access its data:
- Find your downloaded Windows 11 25H2 ISO file.
- Right-click the file and select Mount.
- Open This PC and note down the new drive letter assigned to the mounted ISO (for example,
E:orF:).
Step 3: Enable Script Execution Using PowerShell
By default, Windows blocks third-party scripts from running. You need to change this setting in PowerShell temporarily:
- Open the Windows search box, type
PowerShell, right-click it, and select Run as administrator. - In the PowerShell window, paste the following command and press Enter:
Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted
- Type
Yand press Enter to confirm the change. This allows the GitHub script to run on your system.
Step 4: Run the Script and Create the Tiny11 ISO
Now you can run the script to create your custom, lightweight tiny11 ISO:
- In the administrator PowerShell window, type the full path to your script file and press Enter. In my case, it’s & “C:\Users\JULIANNA\Downloads\tiny11.-.nov24\tiny11builder-main\tiny11maker.ps1”
C:\Paths\To\Your\Folder\tiny11maker.ps1 - The script will ask for a drive letter. Type the letter of your mounted ISO (from Step 2) and press Enter.
- Type
1for the index number and press Enter to select the Windows edition. - The script will now start copying files and stripping out the bloatware. This process usually takes about 30 minutes depending on your hard drive speed.
Step 5: Get Your New Tiny11 ISO File
Once the process is complete, press any key to let the script clean up temporary files. The tool will also generate a system log file that you can open using the Run dialog box if you want to see the details.
Your new Tiny Windows 11 25H2 ISO file is now ready. You can find it right inside the main Tiny11 Builder folder. From here, you can load the ISO into a virtual machine to test it, or use a tool like Rufus to burn it onto a USB drive for a clean installation on your PC.
